I found this as a perfect opportunity to practice some speedpainting.
Priming - I let the primer cure for 24 hours ahead of the session |
Pig Iron - Drybrush |
Radiant Platinum - Drybrush where the light will hit |
P3 Armor wash on skin, leather and shadowed parts of the armor. P3 Flesh Wash for the skulls |
P3 Armor Wash for the pelts |
Bringing back the midtones with P3 Bastion Grey for the skin again and Trollblood Highlight for the skulls. |
Added P3 Morrow White to the Bastion Grey and Trollblood Highlight for the...err... highlights |
Brought back the midtones with the GW and P3 browns again. Added GW Bubonic brown to Bestial Brown for highlights. Also used Bubonic Brown for the teeth |
Drybrushed pelts with basecolor and adding P3 Morrow white for highlights |
Chieftains 90% done after an hour and some change. I edged some of the metal with P3 Quicksilver and touched up some of the spikes with P3 Thamar Black |
I'm calling this done at Tabletop Quality. The OC in me will probably go back over some of the messier spots but I'll try to resist.
Hope Wolf likes 'em
